The changes and cancellations detailed here below are accepted as long as there is a minimum of 7 days notice if the flight date has been planned already:
- refunds with a maximum of 60 days after the purchase date
- change of flight type, paying the fare difference if applicable, there is no right to a refund if the change is made for a flight of lower value than the one purchased and more than 60 days have passed from the date of purchase
- change of flight date or location
Name changes are allowed with a minimum of 24 hours' prior notice at no cost.
We do not recommend flying while pregnant, in case of pregnancy the expiration of the gift vouchers is postponed for 9 months and at no cost. Pregnant women who still want to take the balloon flight do so under their own responsibility. Under no circumstances can Kon-Tiki be held responsible for the termination of the pregnancy due to the balloon flight.
You can request to extend the expiry date of a gift voucher by requesting it no later than one year after the expiration date, one more year of validity will be applied from the date on which the extension is requested and applying the rate in force at this time, without taking into account any promotions or discounts.
Kon-Tiki reserves the right to change the flight date in case of unfavorable weather forecast. The client may choose a new flight date and location according to his or her and Kon-Tiki's availability. If the flight ticket has expired, the rate in force on the day a new flight date is specified would be applied, deducting 100% of the amount paid for the expired ticket and paying the eventual difference on the day of the flight. The cancellation of a flight for weather and safety reasons does not entitle the client to any compensation (hotel costs, travel costs, etc.).
